Our Daily Program

Learning Through Play

Our unique program consists of both gross motor activities, along with a cognitive influence. It focuses on:

  1. Building one's self esteem

  2. Self help skills

  3. Healthy social skills

These are developed through a consistent routine within a set-up environment of age appropriate activities that meet individual needs. To promote "Play Based Learning" that is child-initiated with adult-supported approaches, we incorporate the following in our daily activities:

  • Numeracy

  • Literacy

  • Reasoning

  • Unique crafts

  • Safe science

Art Skills

Arts and crafts is a daily component at Maple Preschool. Each week is a new theme that will be both hung on our boards and brought home to show off!

Dramatic Centre

Imaginative Play

Imaginative play is such a crucial aspect for child growth. Mental and psychological development flourishes through made up scenarios and of course, imagination! Kids can be a police officer, a vet, a fairy, a chef and more.

Music

Learning and fun... MIXED!

Music is such a versatile tool that is involved in everyones daily life constantly. Singing fun songs puts a smile on everyones face, but the repetition of catchy tunes can and will get psychological and cognitive development running smoothly. Motor development is involved when discovering how to play new instruments too!

Outdoor Play

Motor Development

Who doesn't love riding bikes or kicking, throwing and catching a ball? With a wonderful grass and interlocking play ground, our friends have room for some soccer and riding the cars and bikes. Water play takes place every summer as well!

Circle Time

Social Constructs

Every morning after snack time and books and puzzles, it is circle time! Friends join on the carpet to talk about our day, our weekend, a story and anything else. Questions like "How are you today" are also answered. Our good morning song welcomes friends to the day which is followed by discussing the date and weather.

Time to Eat

Snacks and Lunch Time

Snacks are provided throughout the day. Depending on the program your child is in, they could receive 1 or 2 snacks a day. Lunches are also catered with special menu options available. For more information about the menu, please contact us!
